Code Number

Your code number can be calculated by the following formula:

  • Take the two-digit number formed by the last two digits of your Reed ID number and multiply times 7.
  • Take the two-digit number formed by the last two digits of your mailbox number and multiply by 3.
  • Add these two numbers together and you get your code number.

For example, if your Reed ID is X12345 and your mailbox is 666, then you would calculate 45 * 7 + 66 * 3 = 513.

Grading scale

For a rough estimate, 80-100% is likely to be some flavor of A, 70-80% some flavor of B, and about 60-70% some kind of C. Grades below 60% are likely to be in the C-/D/F range.

Grades

The table below shows your grades for the class as of 10/5/16 (not including today's case questions). The case grade is out of 34 possible; the problem-set grade is a percentage; the first midterm exam grade is out of 49 possible points and the second midterm exam grade is out of 54 possible points.

For students who added the course late: The problem set percentage excludes assignments from before you added; it is the percentage you earned on problems sets since you joined the class. The number for cases is the actual number of points earned, but in your case the number of possible points on cases will be less than 34 so your percentage would be higher than what you would get by dividing the number by 34.
