American Studies Colloquium and Mailing List
The American Studies colloquium at Reed is a gathering of faculty, students, and staff interested in interdisciplinary scholarship in American Studies, broadly conceived to include transnational, hemispheric, oceanic, and global approaches, as well as the more traditional approach centered on the U.S. nation-state. We meet three times a semester for a presentation and/or discussion of readings. These meetings generally take place Wednesdays at noon; lunch is provided. Our first event of 2014-2015 will be on September 24, 12-1 p.m., with Prof. Christopher Wells presenting (details to follow).
