Mental Health First Aid
The Dean of Students office and Residence Life are hosting a mental health first-aid training in split over two days: Thursday, January 24, and Friday, January 25, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Mental Health First Aid USA is a training—like regular First Aid or CPR—designed to give people the skills to help someone who is developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis. The course uses role playing and simulations to demonstrate how to recognize and respond to the warning signs of specific illnesses. This training will be specifically tailored to higher education.
We have 10 spots available to any student, staff, or faculty member who would like to participate. Costs are covered. Please contact Britt Q. Hoover at firstname.lastname@example.org to sign up!
