Live Taping: Philosophy Talk, “Your Lying Eyes: Perception, Memory, and Justice”

Monday, October 5, 7:00 PM
Eliot Hall chapel
This event is open to the public.

Join John Perry and Ken Taylor of Philosophy Talk and Prof. Daniel Reisberg for a live taping on the topic of eye-witness testimony. The criminal justice system often relies on the testimony of eye witnesses to get convictions. Yet more and more, psychological science demonstrates how unreliable eye witness reports can be. John and Ken take the stand with Prof. Reisberg of the Reed psychology department and author of The Science of Perception and Memory: A Pragmatic Guide for the Justice System. Sponsored by the dean of the faculty and public affairs.
