Lecture: Gabriel Zucman

Gabriel Zucman will give a talk entitled “Capital is Back: Wealth-Income Ratios in Rich Countries, 1700-2010”.  This work considers the increasing role of capital income and wealth in the world economy, exploring links between economic growth, productivity, population growth, and wealth. Zucman is an expert on wealth distribution, tax havens and tax avoidance. He holds a PhD in Economics from the Paris School of Economics and is presently at University of California-Berkeley. Beginning in 2014, he will be on the faculty at the London School of Economics. Sponsored by the Economics department and the Walter Krause Economics Lecture Fund.
