Alumnus Sam Groveman '10
Hunter College and Radio Chemistry Graduate Studies

11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m., Thursday, September 26, Eliot 416

Join alumnus Sam Groveman for a discussion on a little known branch of science: Radiochemistry. Radioactive materials can be applied to more than just glowing watch dials and nuclear power; radiochemistry is used in applications as diverse as drug development for the treatment and imaging of disease, nuclear waste remediation strategies, and understanding the impacts of radioactive materials in the environment.

Sam will also discuss graduate opportunities for students in the field of radiochemistry, including the new radiochemistry program at Hunter College in New York City in which Sam is currently enrolled. Drop by to chat if you’d like to learn just what the heck radiochemistry is, or if you’d like to explore the possibility of studying radiochemistry in your future.
