Sexual Assault Prevention and Response at Reed

Need help now?

As a community based on the Honor Principle, Reed does not tolerate any form of sexual violence. Reed’s approach to prevention and response includes four key elements:

  • Preventing sexual violence through education and action
  • Providing support for survivors
  • Investigating incidents swiftly and adjudicating them fairly
  • Protecting the community from sexual predators

Reporting Sexual & Relationship Violence

Reed encourages all community members to consider reporting sexual harassment, assault, relationship violence, and stalking. All reports will be investigated, but not all types of investigation require survivors to take part in the process. There are anonymous, confidential, and non-confidential ways to report.

The Discriminatory Harassment and Sexual Misconduct policy defines prohibited behaviors and describes the college's response to violations.
