Office for Inclusive Community staffing announcement

I am thrilled to share that Ruby White will be joining Student Services on Friday, June 30, as the new Multicultural Resource Center Program Manager. As the newest member of the Office for Inclusive Community team, Ruby will be responsible for overseeing the MRC's programming and daily operations, including being a staff mentor and informal advisor to the Black and African Students at Reed (BASAR) group and other social-justice and identity-based student groups. Ruby will be a great resource if your department/program is interested in collaborating with the MRC on events or projects.

Ruby is joining us from Denver, CO, where she earned a B.A. in Sociology and Journalism from University of Northern Colorado and currently is completing a Master of Arts in Higher Education and Student Affairs Leadership. She brings strong insight and experience supporting students of color through her four years working in admissions on multicultural recruitment and through her involvement as a student and staff mentor in the Marcus Garvey Cultural Center at UNC. Ruby's passion for social justice and for partnering with students from underrepresented communities to advance equity and inclusion will be a strong addition to our work.

Ruby's office will be in the Student Center 101, and she can be reached at rwhite@reed.edu and (503) 517-4107. Please join us in welcoming Ruby to Reed!
