Bookstore website
As a non-profit, institutionally-owned entity of the college, the bookstore is here to support Reed's educational mission. All of your textbooks and school supplies can be purchased here. The bookstore also features a varied and in-depth selection of general books (all sold at a 10% discount) that supports and expands upon topics presented in the Reed curriculum. The bookstore will gladly special order books if what you want is not in stock. Most books arrive within one to three days of ordering.

Besides books, you will also find software and computer supplies, dorm and school/office supplies, Reed clothing, greeting cards, gift wrap, candy and snack items, and Reed gifts ranging from coffee mugs to decals to Reed ties. Other essential items we carry are bicycle and computer locks, computer bags, some over-the-counter medications, and personal care items.

Some of the services we provide include textbook reservations, textbook buyback, textbook rentals, bookstore accounts, special orders, and a textbook scholarship program. We hold textbook buybacks at the end of each semester which put over $60,000 cash back into students' hands this last academic year. We also offer campus work to about 20 students for a combined student income of almost $45,000. Last but not least, as part of its yearly textbook scholarship program, the bookstore just awarded $300 scholarships to 54 students totaling $16,200.

For late-night Reedies there is Homer's Hut, our on-campus convenience store. It is open everyday during the academic year from 6 p.m. to 3 a.m. (5 p.m. – 3 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays) and will provide you with a wide variety of healthy snacks, frozen foods, drinks, and plain old junk food, as well as a basic selection of dorm and personal care items.

The bookstore honors your personal checks for all purchases; you may cash a check for up to $40. If one of your checks is returned by your bank to us, the returned check fee is $20 per check.
Bookstore student charge accounts can be set up free of charge.

Visa, MasterCard, and American Express are accepted.

You must keep your receipt in order to receive a full refund for any merchandise and books purchased at the bookstore.
