A viral Tumblr post mocking a genre of YouTube video titles where white men order food in languages other than English by referencing the Psammetichus language deprivation experiment detailed in Herodotus' The Histories. Herodotus claimed that Psammetichus sent two infants to be raised in total linguistic isolation and after two years they began saying the Phrygian word for bread.
