Language Discrimination in UK Education Policy
A relatively brief article summarizing research on the negative consequences of standard language-focused UK education policies for Black secondary school students. There's some interesting discussion of how the UK government presents discriminatory language policies as "objective" by assuming adherence to standard language as the measure of success.
