女の子になりたい or “I Wanna be a Girl”, was a song released on April Fool’s of 2019 by Mafumafu. The theme of the song is about a guy who wants to secretly indulge in feminine traits and desires. A parody by Nasuo was made in December of the same year called “I Wanna be a Boy” with the opposite theme to Mafumafu’s song. The lines that differ between the two versions reveal quite a lot about Japanese language and gender constructs.
