In this clip (18:57-19:10) from a popular YouTube series, Still Watching Netflix, drag queens Trixie Mattel and Katya Zamolodchikova watch scenes from Netflix original reality series Love is Blind, season four. After watching a clip of participant Bliss utilizing vocal fry in her speech, Trixie Mattel compares her to a member of the Kardashian family, who are often the face of the popular culture attack on vocal fry. Trixie Mattel says, “She talks like a Kardashian. ‘Maybe if you knew how to run a business, you’d know what it takes to run a business, but you don’t. So don’t even.’” She impersonates a popular clip of Kim Kardashian from Keeping Up With the Kardashians, putting on an exaggerated vocal fry to make her point about comparing Bliss to a member of the Kardashian family.
