Jan Mieszkowski teaches German and Comparative Literature at Reed College. He is the author of three books: Labors of Imagination: Aesthetics and Political Economy from Kant to Althusser (Fordham 2006), Watching War (Stanford 2012), and Crises of the Sentence (Chicago 2019). Jan is currently working on a new book about the poetics of botany.
