Week 4 |
Zoo Lab Presentations MUST be on server before lab! |
|
Work on trouble shooting set up for Drosophila Behavior Lab :: ALL RECORDS SHOULD BE IN THE LAB NOTEBOOK
|
|
WEBSITES :: Before leaving lab today you should have a partner and a topic selected !!! |
|
Week 5 |
DreamWeaver - Website Construction :: |
|
- Youand your partner should have begun to research the topic..
- You should have a few images of your animal.
- You should have selected some research figures that will be appropriate to include.
- You should know some other websites that present information about this animal.
- You should have several research papers related to your animal behavior.
- You should have 1-2 paragraphs written as well as bullet points describing the animal behavior.
- You should know whether you want to use Tinbergen’s 4 questions, Dewsburry’s 3 areas or some other scheme to comprehensively describe both proximate and ultimate explanations for your animal behavior.
|
We will work through the basics of Dreamweaver together
BEFORE YOU LEAVE: ZIP together all Dreamweaver files and save them on the server.
|
FLY LAB: You will have additional time to work on your fly lab protocol:
SAVE A PROTOCOL DRAFT TO THE SERVER BEFORE YOU LEAVE |

Download the HANDOUT and read it before lab.
If this seems trivially easy to you, download the WORKSHEET and answer all of the questions.
If this still seems trivially easy to you, you can skip the first 2 hours of lab and simply hand in the completed worksheet.
If this is not trivially easy and you think that you would benefit from additional explanation, come to lab on time and we will work through the problem set together. |
