Abstract Submissions
Abstract submission will open March 1st, 202? and close April 15, 202?. Abstracts can be submitted here. Abstracts will be considered for 30 minute talks and 15 minutes talks. An updated list of accepted abstracts will be available here in May 202?. We will consider abstracts for projects at various stages of the research process, from preliminary to published results. Abstracts can be updated/revised until June 15 by emailing the conference chairs.
General Information
CSAIL is an annual conference held in beautiful Hood River Oregon, in the heart of the Columbia River Gorge. While the focus is broadly on research in cognitive science, CSAIL is truly interdisciplinary and encourages submissions from researchers in various fields such as cognitive neuroscience, psychophysics, experimental psychology, psycholinguistics, animal behavior, artificial intelligence, neurophysiology, neuropsychology, comparative psychology, and clinical neuroscience. Abstracts may be submitted by scientists, faculty, post-doctoral researchers, graduate students, and advanced undergraduates. Students and other researchers who are not presenting are also encouraged to attend (please register here).
The philosophy of CSAIL is to balance high quality science talks with ample opportunities to explore the outdoors and socialize informally with fellow attendees. In between conference sessions, CSAILors have been known to wind surf, kite board, hike to waterfalls, mountain bike, go whitewater rafting, fish, kayak, explore local farmers markets and museums, ski/snowboard, go wine tasting, relax at the beach/pier/park, etc. It is during these informal hours that inspiration for the next experiment is often born and scientific collaborations are formed. Hood River is also family friendly, so bring the kids!
