1930 Leyrer & Blom

A selection of photographs and drawings from the 1930 Tulane expedition to Uxmal, led by Frans Blom, then Director of the Department of Middle American Research, Tulane University. This expedition produced drawings, photographs, and casts for the 1933 Century of Progress Exposition in Chicago, and carried out extensive research. Except where noted, all photographs were taken by Dan Leyrer, a gifted photographer and member of the expedition staff. These images were scanned from 35mm slides I have taken of the original photographs and drawings. Reproduced with permission of the Middle American Research Institute (MARI), Tulane University. Special thanks to E. Wyllys Andrews V, Director, and Kathe Lawton, Assistant Director, for their generous help.
