Devi Morris

Instructor of Yoga: Hatha, Yoga: for Relaxation

Devi Morris completed her teacher training at the Yoga Shala of Portland in 2006, and apprenticed with Matt Huish and Char Rice. She also studies Shadow Yoga with Zhander Remete and Emma Balnaves. In order to create an atmosphere for more fluid, meditative and spontaneous movement, Devi incorporates drone metal, chanting and electronic dance music in her own practice and teaching. Her goal is to impart the knowledge of Hatha Yoga by directing the student to cut through the gross layer of attachment to the mundane world through a more intimate and subtle relationship with the breath and the body. At Reed, Devi also teaches Yoga for Relaxation.
