IRCO | Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization

The Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization (IRCO) serves the holistic needs of immigrants, refugees, and mainstream community members in Oregon and SW Washington. As a community-based organization, we empower children, youth, families and elders from around the world to build new lives and become self-sufficient by providing more than 200 culturally and linguistically specific social services.

Our vision is to be a leader of community driven, innovative programs delivered by compassionate staff who create equitable services that empower immigrants, refugees and underserved communities.

The Immigrant Story

Our mission: To document, narrate and curate stories about immigrants in order to promote empathy and advance an inclusive community.

We envision an America where everyone is valued and included and where ethnic boundaries are unimportant. With these goals in mind, we seek to:

  • Advance the national dialogue and dispel myths about new Americans through strong, thoughtful, narratives.
  • Use cutting-edge technology and produce only the very best content.
  • Become the most desired medium and reach every American.
  • Provide a platform that focuses on the common strengths of all Americans, not their differences.
