Alumni on Tour

Reed’s Beer and Baroque tour, October 3–14, 2006, offers you the opportunity to travel from Heidelberg to Lake Constance to Munich in a tour led by professor emeritus of German and humanities Ottomar Rudolf. Professor Rudolf has personally designed this itinerary to allow travelers to see, hear, and savor the art, architecture, sights, tastes, and smells of southwest Germany. We’ll travel by luxury motor coach, stay in exceptional hotels, and enjoy special access to concerts and attractions.

Closer to home, Roger Porter, professor of English and humanities, will lead a weekend of drama and discussion at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland, Oregon, July 14–16, 2006. The weekend will include three performances—The Winter’s Tale, The Importance of Being Earnest, and Cyrano de Bergerac—as well as a backstage tour, and, of course, Reed-style conferences on the texts.

Camp Westwind

The weekend retreat at Camp Westwind for alumni and their families, sponsored by the Portland alumni chapter, will be held September 29–October 1. Join alumni from a variety of eras and swap Olde Reed stories and songs in a beautiful forested setting on the Oregon Coast. View details and registration. A limited number of reduced-rate spaces are available for kitchen and cleaning crew.

ReedLink

Reed’s online alumni directory, ReedLink, includes class notes, volunteer and job opportunities, and contact information for fellow alumni. Reunion-year class albums are posted as well.

New registrants must enter their Reed ID (the six-digit number on the mailing label of this magazine) and birthdate to get started. Go to https://iris.reed.edu.
