Thanks to Gay Walker and Mark Kuestner of the Reed College Special Collections for your expansive knowledge about this institution's history and for assisting and supporting us during the multiple stages of our project, guiding us towards paths that helped us uncover our past in creation of our future. Spending time in the archive led to RAW's conceptions, and for that, we are so grateful.
Thanks to Colin Murray for advocating our use of the Theater Annex and enabling us to explore the bounds of our campus by exhibiting our visiting artists in a space unique and unknown to most of our student body. The visiting artists finally have a centralized gallery space for the week, and we are thankful to everyone involved in making that possible.
To Ramiro Espinoza and Megan Callero - thank you for your prompt responses, your responsible actions, yours answers to our queries, your encouragement, and your openness. You function under the belief that any project is possible and provide us with the methods and tools to make them actual. Thank you for supporting this project, year after year.
To our Cooley Gallery family: Stephanie, for your advice, for being a mentor, a friend, and a model for our curatorial practices - for believing in us and enabling our endeavors. To Colleen, for being so thoughtful, kind, extremely organized and intentional in your movements. And to Greg, for your puppetry, your insistence on the hand made, and your support of the student run. Without you all, RAW seems difficult to imagine.
Thank you to the RAW team: Forrest for your organization, care, and thorough planning for whom without we would not be able to show student art work. Lauren, for your ability to create and design a beautiful catalogue. Alan, though you hardly answer your phone, thank you for the wonderful website (plus, you and Lauren had the genius idea for the inflatable tube man!) And Naima, for being incredibly self motivated and always on top of it. You are all a dream.
