Creative Projects at Reed
Public affairs provides a range of creative services. We follow a process to help you develop effective, strategic communications that serve the mission of Reed College.Services
We offer professional design services for posters, brochures, postcards, and other materials. We coordinate printing with on- and off-campus vendors. We provide content strategy for Reed's websites, and we copyedit your content for both print and digital following an editorial style guide to support consistent communications.
Project Management
We manage projects collaboratively using Basecamp, our web-based project management software. In Basecamp, each project has its own virtual space that contains everything related to the work at hand, including discussions, documents, files, tasks, and important dates.
Approach
At any given time, public affairs is managing 30 to 35 active projects on behalf of the college. Although we work to be as efficient and nimble as possible, we must follow processes, timelines, and production schedules in order to meet important deadlines for all of our college partners.
Process
After you complete an intake form (even for an update), we open a Basecamp project, complete a brief, and contact you with any questions. You provide original draft content—uploaded to the virtual space for the project in Basecamp—as well as design suggestions. We typically provide two rounds of creative for you to review and approve.
