Student Conference on U.S. Affairs (SCUSA)

Each year, the Political Science department sends a student to the Student Conference on U.S. Affairs (SCUSA), a four-day conference in the fall bringing students to West Point to discuss security issues. To apply, please complete the cover sheet (below), a resume, and a brief two-page statement of why you want to attend SCUSA, what you will bring to the event, and how you will represent Reed.

The 71st Annual SCUSA will be held Wednesday, October 30th through Saturday, November 2nd, 2019. This year's theme is: "Advancing the National Interest: The Intersection of Domestic Politics and American Foreign Policy." Applications are due to Emily Hebbron on Friday, September 20th, 2019 at noon.
Notifications will be made before Monday, September 30th, 2019.

Below are links to the 2019 application and brochure, and a list of this year's roundtables. Any questions can be directed to Emily Hebbron, Faculty Coordinator for Political Science, or Alex Montgomery, SCUSA Czar.
