Supplemental Orientation experiences are completely optional and require pre-registration. Fall 2022 Supplemental Orientation programs will take place on Saturday, August 27 and Sunday, August 28

Reed offers two supplemental Orientation experiences: service learning projects and outdoor trips.

The SEEDS Community Engagement Orientation experiences are exciting opportunities to learn about Portland while making a positive impact on the community. These service learning projects are led by SEEDS (Students for Education, Equity, and Direct Service). Registration for SEEDS trips open on June 1 and close on July 15.

Reed’s Supplemental Outdoor Experiences give students the chance to explore areas around Portland and the Pacific Northwest. Past Outdoor Orientation opportunities have included hiking, stand up paddle boarding, rafting, and more. Registration for Outdoor Orientation trips open on June 1 and close on July 15.

Please note that the SEEDS Orientation Experiences and Outdoor Orientation Experiences run concurrently. Therefore, you cannot do both SEEDS and Outdoor Orientation Experiences, you can only attend one.
