Lead and mentor a group of incoming international students!

International Student Services (ISS) is looking for dedicated Reed students who are interested in developing intercultural leadership skills and who want to give back to the Reed community through mentoring the incoming class of international students. These positions receive compensation hourly for working during International Student Orientation, as well as hourly compensation for work completed throughout Fall semester.

International student ORIENTATON COORDINATOR AND LEAD mentor applications due: march 1st

InterConnect Mentors are a select group of Reed students, both international and domestic, who serve as part of the International Student Services’ (ISS) student leadership team. InterConnect Mentors participate in a leadership training program that will develop their intercultural communication skills and knowledge. These students serve as mentee group leaders during International Student Orientation, welcoming and guiding first year and exchange international students through orientation. InterConnect Mentors also provide support for their mentee group by serving as peer mentors, assisting new international students in their academic, cultural, and social adjustments to the U.S. and Reed campus throughout the fall semester.

ISS encourages all Reed students who are interested in developing intercultural leadership skills and who want to give back to the Reed community in a meaningful way to apply. Dedicated individuals who want to make a commitment to the program and contribute significantly to ISS and the next first year international student class are highly desirable.
