March 30, 2021

Dear faculty, staff, and students,

This week marks the first week of the trial of the former Minneapolis police officer who has been charged with the murder of George Floyd. We recognize that the trial will evoke a tremendous amount of emotion and many of our community members may want a place to process these emotions together. To this end, the Multicultural Resource Center (MRC) is hosting a community gathering, this Thursday at 4 p.m. via Zoom.

This session does not have an agenda, but is intended for collective conversation and reflection. The session will begin by framing the trial in a larger social context with an opportunity for questions and answers, before opening for community members to share their own thoughts.
