Check Your Financial Aid Status Using Banner Self-Service!
You will use Banner Self-Service to:
- Check the status of your financial aid application. You will find out which documents are still needed to complete your application for financial aid.
- Review your financial aid eligibility and award. You will accept your financial aid award and review the terms and conditions of the award.
- Report any outside resources, such as private scholarships, to the financial aid office.
We recommend starting with the Financial Aid tab at the top of the page. From this main menu, you will have five options:
- Financial Aid Status
- E-Mail Reed College Financial Aid Office
- General Financial Aid
We recommend clicking on each menu option, then clicking on each tab across the page, from left to right. To return to the main menu, just click on the Financial Aid tab at the top of the page.
We encourage you to print a copy of your financial aid award to share with others--such as parents--who may be helping pay educational expenses, as well as track any subsequent changes in your award due to changes in your financial information or aid eligibility. You may print a copy of your award by accessing the Award Overview Tab (via the Award menu) and clicking "Print" at the top left of the screen.
Once you submit your application for admission, the Admission Office will send you a Reed College Student ID number. If you indicate on your application for admission that you plan to apply for need-based financial aid, we will send you an email with a PIN. The PIN, when used in conjunction with your Reed College Student ID, will allow you access to Banner Self-Service. If you forget your PIN, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you have submitted a financial aid application in prior years or if you submit any part of a 2015-16 financial aid application, we will send an email with a PIN to your reed.edu address. You will use this PIN, in conjunction with your Reed College Student ID number, to access Reed College Self-Service. In the (hopefully near) future, this self-service tool will be integrated with IRIS. Until that time, however, you will need to follow a separate log-in procedure. If you forget your PIN, email email@example.com.
