Tenure-Track Position in English & Humanities

Reed College seeks a tenure-track appointment in English and Humanities beginning August, 2019. Candidates should specialize in Postcolonial/Anglophone/Diaspora literature. The successful candidate will teach a 3/2 load that typically includes courses (introductory and advanced) in the English department; a year-long interdisciplinary humanities course pedagogically focused on the development of analytical, critical, and writing skills of first-year students; and will advise year-long senior theses. Above all, we seek candidates who have a strong commitment to teaching excellence at the undergraduate level and who are engaged in a lively and serious program of scholarship. Ph.D. required by the time of appointment.
