Dear Community Dancers,
It is my great, great pleasure to share that Community Dance at Reed is returning! At this moment in the pandemic, as we navigate both its ongoing effects and the new possibilities enabled by broad access to vaccines, coming together in shared movement feels more important than ever. I am so grateful for this opportunity to put Community Dance at Reed’s mission to work once again, and I hope that you will join us!
After months of planning, I am so pleased to share that our first session will meet on Thursday, September 23 from 6:10-7:30 pm in the Performing Arts Building, Room 128. Weekly sessions will continue until the Winter Dance Concert, which is scheduled for Saturday, December 11 at 7 pm and Sunday, December 12 at 2 pm on Greenwood Performance Stage.
Things will work a bit differently this year than in years past. In order to keep us safe, participation is limited and registration is required. There are 10 spaces available per session (first come first serve, you may register for one or all sessions). With student enrollment and musicians, this will bring total participation to 21 people. Vaccination verification is required for all participants (please bring your card or a picture to your first session). Ages 12+. All participants are required to wear masks. Sessions will be held in a large space that will allow us to maintain proper distance during sessions. Click here to register.
