Technical Support
Information Technology (IT) continues to support students, faculty, and staff during the pandemic.
- Help desk, hardware shop, and residence hall network support will be provided both in person and remotely through chat, email, video conference, and other means.
- In-person computer labs will be available as health and safety measures allow. Software that is customarily available in labs will also be made available through virtual computer labs.
- Audiovisual services will prioritize academic and classroom support. Non-academic AV support needs will be assessed on a case-by-case basis and may need to be outsourced based on staffing availability. The requesting department will be responsible for funding outsourced AV staffing and equipment rentals.
Computers and Associated Equipment
Students
All students need a computer that meets minimum recommendations, whether they live in residence halls or off campus. Reed provides information on how to purchase or borrow computer equipment.
Faculty and Staff
Faculty and staff who need a computer or iPad to support their college work may make a computer equipment request.
Faculty and staff can also purchase personal computers and accessories at educational prices. Visit Reed's online Apple Store to place an order and have it shipped directly to you.
