Dear students, faculty, and staff:

The Emergency Response Team (ERT) writes to you today with more good news. The current air quality in Portland according to Airnow.gov is "good" at an AQI of 27. The weather forecast according to NOAA is for more rain later in the week, and a continuation of the weather that cleared the air late last week. The state map associated with the AQI information shows pockets of poor air quality in proximity to wildfires, but we see no indications that the college is likely to be impacted.

As of tomorrow, campus operations will no longer be curtailed due to air quality. In-person classes may resume indoors and outdoors.

We expect this message will conclude the ERT's daily messages regarding air quality and wildfire concerns on campus. We thank everyone for their flexibility and support over the past 10 days.

All our best,
Gary Granger
Director of Community Safety
Emergency Response Team (ERT)
