EXCERPT: The following notes are the result of four years collection by the author in and near Multnomah County. Species have been checked against the herbarium at Reed College which contains collections made by W. Cusick from the Oregon mountains, and specimens determined by Howell. By means of collections made throughout the county and copious notes taken at all times, a fairly accurate description of plant habitats has been made.
As a possible aid to students, a list is also appended, as well as notations in the general list, of the plants which are known to occur on the Reed College campus.
