Fulbright Program for U.S. StudentsIleana Morales '15
received a Fulbright study/research award to Spain where she plans to study the role of the brain’s opioid system in alcohol abuse and sugar intake at Universitat Jaume I in Castellón. This line of research has clinical implications for the development of internationally-needed treatments to eating disorders and addiction. She hopes to build on this experience after returning to the U.S and applying to Ph.D programs that emphasize the neurobiology of motivation and emotion, with connections to addiction and mood disorder research.
