Spotted lantern fly on campus
A spotted lanternfly was just reported from Reed College campus, see iNaturalist at https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/154194240
This exotic species is not known from western North America, yet. Considering its potential as a crop and nuisance pest, the Oregon Department of Agriculture (ODA) would like to detect populations as early as possible and, ideally, eliminate them.
