Library Renovations
The seismic renovations to the unreinforced masonry in the Library’s Weese Addition are moving forward over winter break. Preliminary work has begun to allow for implementation of the demolition plan to move forward as faculty and students leave for break. Because it will take six weeks to carry out this initial demolition, work is scheduled to begin on December 13th. Work will generally occur between 6:30 and 2:30 p.m.
There is no ideal time for this kind of work, but winter break was thought to have the least impact on the community. We will do everything in our power to navigate the needs of building users. Ear plugs will be free and available at the circulation desk!
This will be the first phase of construction, future updates to follow.
