InterConnect Mentor Applications Now Available

International Student Services is looking for Reed students who are interested in developing intercultural leadership skills and who want to give back to the Reed community in a meaningful way. We are looking for dedicated individuals who want to contribute to International Student Services and the incoming class of international students through serving as InterConnect Mentors.

InterConnect Mentors are a select group of Reed students, both international and domestic, who serve as part of the International Student Services (ISS) student leadership team. InterConnect Mentors participate in an intercultural leadership training program that will develop their intercultural communication skills and knowledge. These students serve as group leaders during International Student Orientation, welcoming and guiding first year international students through orientation.

These students also provide support for international students by serving as peer mentors, assisting new international students in their academic, cultural, and social adjustments to the U.S. and to the Reed campus throughout the fall semester. Mentors are paid $14.00/hour for a required training in April, and are paid $14.00/hourly for work during International Student Orientation and the fall 2020 semester.

Applications are due Monday, March 9, at 5pm.  Visit https://www.reed.edu/iss/international-student-engagement/interconnect-application.html or contact iss@reed.edu with any questions.
