SEEDS presents the Cascades Abortion Services Collective
Cascades Abortion Support Collective (CASC) provides free physical, emotional, informational, and logistic support to individuals accessing abortion in the Portland/Vancouver area. We support people regardless of age, race, income, gender identity, religious belief, relationship status, or disability status. All people deserve access to free, nonjudgmental support and care at any point in their abortion experience. Along with providing direct support, CASC also organizes in Portland around reproductive justice issues and supports organizations that envision a better world based in collective liberation.
During this talk on Wednesday, October 30, CASC will discuss the services it provides to abortion seekers, some of current and upcoming projects, and how students can get plugged into reproductive-justice work in their own lives. CASC will also discuss what it is like to organize in a collective versus a nonprofit. Dinner is provided!
