Repurpose your post-holiday tree for the canyon
Reed Grounds Department would like to repurpose your post-holiday Christmas tree. We are looking for 'clean trees' (free of tinsel, lights and ornaments--no flocked trees, please) to use in the lower canyon to help with stream realignment and habitat improvement that will benefit juvenile salmon.
Drop-off sites will be identified with a sign starting December 27 in each of the three major parking lots. The east lot has a drop spot near the driveway of the Dorothy Johansen house, the west lot has a drop spot near the entrance of the Greenwood building, and the north lot is receiving trees near the main roadway in between the upper and lower lots.
We will be accepting trees though the month of January. Questions? Please contact Zac Perry, canyon restoration manager, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
For more information, contact Zachariah Perry.
