Reed Leadership Academy Nominations

Applications for the spring 2019 Reed Leadership Academy (RELAY) cohort open soon.  RELAY is a weekly, not-for-credit leadership class that also incorporates off-campus mentors and community-engagement projects.

We are reaching out to you to request your assistance.  We are seeking nominations for students who could benefit from RELAY.  In the past, your nominations have helped us to recruit many students who otherwise would not have thought of themselves as leaders.  They were so flattered that you thought of them.

Ideal candidates are students who want to learn more about themselves as they learn how to work with others.  They are engaged and want to positively affect their communities. RELAY students can be any class year and have any level of leadership experience.

In RELAY, we approach leadership as a process not a position.  We focus on interpersonal and intercultural skills that help students become meaningful and constructive contributors to their communities.  If you have advisees, students in your classes, or student employees who could both benefit and contribute, please send us their names so that we can reach out to them.

You can submit names through this form.  Please submit as many student names as you would like and we will send them an email letting them know you nominated them.  We are collecting nominations through Monday, October 1.

If you have questions, please contact Kristin Holmberg or Jamila Dozier in the Office for Student Engagement.
