Farewell to Frank Zornado after 32 years!

In 1986 the Oprah Winfrey show made its national debut, Ted Turner launched the Goodwill Games, Hands Across America stretched through small segments of the country, and Frank Zornado accepted his job at Reed College. Frank has been an integral member of the sports center staff ever since. After 32 years of service, he will be retiring from his position as sports center supervisor on September 28.

Before then, feel free to stop in at the cage and wish Frank well before he departs for his new "winter home" in Palm Springs. He will be in the sports center receiving guests Monday through Thursday, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

In addition to his many duties, Frank’s stewardship of the March Madness tournament has become a tradition that continues to bring generations of Reedies together. It will be hard to imagine the sports center without his jovial presence.

Please drop by to thank Frank for his decades of service, and  to wish him well as he become an "Oregon Snowbird"!
