Eliot Hall construction work over winter break
As is the case during many winter breaks, Facilities Services needs to accomplish several projects in Eliot Hall between now and the start of next semester. We are going to be completing the improvements to the chapel, including new lighting, paint, seat cushions, and window coverings as well as remodeling the annex classroom with projection, lighting, new board surfaces, and furniture. We will also be remodeling several offices.
On Saturday, December 16, Rose City Movers will be on campus to clear some spaces so that work can begin. This is also the season for Facilities to refinish the hallway floors and stairways in Eliot. We will be doing that December 26-29. We appreciate cooperation from all members of the Reed community in making the hallways accessible during these activities to enable us to get the work done. The hallways must be clear prior to the work commencing on Friday, December 15. Any items remaining in hallways and other public spaces at 5 p.m. on December 15 will be removed.
We intend to have all work completed by January 22 when classes begin.
