Lecture: Brian Deese, "Crafting Presidential Climate Change Policy: The Paris Agreement and Beyond"

Friday, April 15, 4:30 PM - 6:00 PM
Vollum lecture hall
This event is open to the public.

The Obama Administration recently helped to broker a landmark international agreement on climate change during the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change in Paris. Drawing on his experience as the President’s senior adviser on climate, energy, and conservation during the Paris negotiations, Brian Deese will explore the challenges of developing and executing climate change policy in the current national and international political climate. We will also identify the key challenges facing the agreement as it moves forward to the ratification stage.

Sponsored by the environmental studies program.
