TechFayre and Mindstorm converge
The next couple of days will bring a convergence of career opportunities from The Center for Life Beyond Reed! Maximize your outreach and spend some time at TechFayre on Friday and MindStorm on Saturday. Each offers a very different opportunity and method to speak with and engage recruiters and hiring managers, not to mention a chance to get to know some of the amazing Reedies and friends of Reed working in a variety of fields.
Come to TechFayre, Friday from 2:30 to 5 p.m., and meet recruiters from companies including, APEX Clearing, AdPearance, +Citizen, Microsoft, Puppet Labs, and Tableau. Bring a resume and learn what it would be like to work for these great companies.
On Saturday, Mindstorm offers an Inventors and Founders panel with Luke Kanies ’96, Ben Thompson ’95, and Gina Collecchia ’09 from 1 to 2 pm, followed by white-board sessions with tech firms, and then a networking reception from 4 to 5 p.m. All events are open to all class levels, all majors.
Also, students can choose one business challenge to participate in with alumni from Apple, APEX Clearing, Globe Sherpa, and Hatch Oregon. Work with recruiters and fellow students to work through a real-world issue for their business—great for your confidence, experience level, and resume.
