Thursday, April 23, 4:10 PM - 5:00 PM
Physics 123
This event is open to the public.

Lecture

Nick Salter ’11, Ph.D. Candidate of Mathematics, University of Chicago

If I just told you directly that this week's colloquium was going to be about math and magic tricks, you'd probably think it would be about as cool and/or interesting as a mathemagician. But what if I told you that I'd be talking about a magic trick invented by John Conway? And, if I showed you the math involved?

Then you'd probably want to come.
