Informal Discussion: "How Do We Build Communities That Support Survivors and Hold Perpetrators Accountable?"

Saturday, April 11, 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Vollum lounge
This event is open to the public.

During this Sexual Assault Awareness Month, we are asking, "How do we build communities that support survivors and hold perpetrators accountable?" Join us for an informal discussion and reception, and meet Leilani Clark and Vanessa Vandetta. Leilani Clark describes herself as a community organizer, activist, and immigrant-rights advocate. She had to deal with the dual betrayal of being sexually assaulted by a respected member of a social justice community and then being blamed by the community, which attempted to silence her. Vanessa Vandetta has been involved in accountability and transformative justice projects in several progressive and radical communities. Refreshments served. RSVP to Rowan Frost.
