[SEEDS] Children's Book Bank

Saturday, April 18, 11:15 AM - 2:30 PM
Children's Book Bank
This event is open only to current Reed students.

Love to read? Want to ensure that great books reach the hands of eager kids? Join SEEDS as we return to the Children's Book Bank for the last time this semester! In low-income neighborhoods the ratio of books to children is one book per 300 children. The Children's Book Bank gathers thousands of new and gently-used books from the community and creates individual bags filled with books and stories. Volunteers help deliver books to children who might not otherwise have books of their own at home.

14 volunteer spots

Saturday, April 18, restoring books from 12 - 2 p.m.

Meet at Prexy at 11:15 a.m. to sign waivers and enjoy yummy Trader Joe’s snacks

Transportation is provided, and we should be back on campus no later than 2:30 p.m.
