Each year, EHS conducts water sampling from different locations around campus. We strive to ensure that campus water is free from unwanted metals such as iron, copper, and lead. We sample several sinks from each residence hall and take random samples from other buildings throughout campus.
We will place a sign on a sink we are going to use for sample collecting on Friday afternoon, May 23. The sign reads: “Water Testing Do Not Use.” Please leave this sink undisturbed.
Early Tuesday morning, May 27, we will collect a liter of water from the tap and send it off to a laboratory in Portland for testing.
Thank you for your cooperation. If you have questions or concerns about potable water on campus, please contact EHS at extension 7931 or 7788.
