Peer mentor program

Student Center

Begun in 2011 by Patty Hsue '02 and a small group of staff members, the Peer Mentor Program pairs new students who identify as students of color, first-generation college students, and any student who is interested in addressing issues of diversity, with current students. The program provides an opportunity for students to develop a supportive community through initiatives that include small-group discussions, social and recreational outings, and small group mentoring time. The program is coordinated through the Multicultural Resource Center and begins with a pre-Orientation odyssey for new students and mentors. If you wish to become involved as a mentor or mentee, please send email to peermentor@reed.edu or the MRC program coordinator.
