I teach in the biochemistry and general chemistry sequences, and on those rare moments when no one is looking, other subjects as well. My chief research interests are in biochemical structure and function, especially in the case of metal ion sensing and transport by bacteria. X-ray crystallography is our chief experimental technique, but any tool that gives the desired answer is the favorite of the moment.
