- baritone, 2x
- singing, 2x
- singing stops, everyone in, 4x
- broken chords
- lead improvises; two tenors respond to descending line copying
the style (single sticking, rolling, chords)
- There are two stacking sequences. They are signaled by
the lead playing the descending line twice in a row, not giving
the tenors a chance to respond on their own. Stacking
arrangement: lead; lead and tenors; lead, tenors, and baritone;
lead, tenors, baritone, and bass. On this last part of this
stacking, when the bass comes in, everyone leaves out a beat at
the approriate time.
- After the second stacking, the lead plays regular broken chords
for 2x, then everyone plays non-broken chords for 2x.
- The 4x of chords just played signals the missing first
beat section of the tune. During the missing first beat, the
first tenor, baritone, and bass play a part.
- The signal to leave the first-beat-section is when the lead
plays regular chords without the first beat for 2x. Then everyone
goes back to normal (??? does this mean broken chords or regular
chords)
- After spiders, the lead rolls on high G for 2x, ending
the piece with a high C.
